Saw her in Reno about 20 years ago. Wasn't exactly her "A" game, but still an entertaining evening. RIP.

I shall make you seem very young. I remember seeing her on Ed Sullivan.

She called her husband "Fang" when many have called theirs much worse.
She was too good to be nasty.
    Safe journey.

    A few of Phyllis' lines:

I’m at an age when my back goes out more than I do.

Burt Reynolds once asked me out. I was in his room.

Fang doesn't like to see trash and garbage lying around the house. He can’t stand the competition.

For Fang, getting out of bed in the morning is a career move.

His finest hour lasted a minute and a half.

I asked my hairdresser what would look good on me. She said a football helmet.

I spent seven hours in a beauty shop... and that was for the estimate.

I’ve been asked to say a couple of words about my husband, Fang. How about short and cheap?

When I go to the beach, even the tide won’t come in.

You know you’re old if they have discontinued your blood type.

Never go to bed mad. Stay up and fight.

Yeah, I remember her on Scooby Doo as well talking about all of her dead husbands. Pretty macabre even for a show about fake ghosts.

More recently, she was the voice of Peter Griffin's mother on Family Guy.
