A Tribe Called Quest rapper dead at 45. Damn. One of the first rap groups I really got into as a kid. Too damn young.

Saw them play at my alma mater my freshman year of college. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen. One of my favorite musical acts of all-time. RIP Phife Dawg.

 

He liked 'em brown, yellow, Puerto Rican or Haitian.

I was/still am a huge Tribe fan. Very sad to hear this news.

He drank a lot of soda, which is why they called him Dr Pepper. Guess that was his Achilles heel.

Meanwhile, can't help but be concerned about Big Boi.

Been listening to a lot of ATCQ recently and decided to watch the Michael Rapaport documentary last night. Good, but lots about his health and so even sadder knowing that this happened a few years after it was released.
