I don't know if anyone here knew Pete, and I hadn't seen him in nearly 20 years. We didn't work together, but our paths would cross on the same beat. He was nothing but nice and helpful to me (just some young punk working part time). Just a great guy.

Pete was one of the first out-of-town reporters I got to know while working at another college newspaper in the MAC years ago. Learned a lot from him in the few times we crossed paths. RIP ... another in our business lost too young.

Never met him but based on that write up, wish I had. RIP.
