    Never thought the cancer would get him. I figured he'd go out riding a 200-foot wave at Bell's Beach.

    No matter that, at age 34, Patrick was 14 years too old to have legitimately been the captain of the Hamilton Mustangs - he was great in that movie, and in everything else he ever did.

    RIP, Patrick. You fought a hell of a fight, and you're leaving behind a wonderful legacy. We'll miss you. :'(
