    E. Howard Hunt. I wonder how many people today know who he was.

Three Tramps? Never heard that term used for the Plumbers.

I assume that includes Liddy and McCord?

Anyway, RIP to a self-proclaimed "Watergate conspirator"

Not me. I thought this was about the Paris-Britney-Lohan troika of trash.

  4. "The Three Tramps" are the guys who got plucked off a freight train the day Kennedy was shot in Dallas, looked very well turned-out for tramps, were detained briefly, and then mysteriously released. Hunt was reputed to look like one of them. (So, it was rumored, was Woody Harrelson's Dad, who actually was a contract killer for the mob.)
I know too damn much about this stuff.

Yes, the tramps were detained or hoarded away, then disappeared.
There were lots of distractions happening that day.
    See JFK - the movie.
The tramps, it's said, had relatively-clean fingernails.
    Can't wait to see "Bobby"
That hit was messed up, too

Woody's Dad was one scary man. And yes, I also know way too much about this stuff.

Wow, F_B .. and I thought I knew too much about Watergate. Must have forgotten that little morsel (it happens at my age!)

Brings back fond memories of John Dean and the Senate Watergate committee. Cancer on the Presidency.

The Saturday Night Massacre. John and Martha Mitchell.

Howard Hunt wrote a couple of potboiler thrillers under a pseudonym., I believe.

I wonder if the E stood for "Ethan."

    "The mission was impossible, bitch!"

Troika of Trash. That is priceless. You should trademark that ASAP.

What exactly does last week's Leafs-Penguins game have to do with all this? ;)

Where was E. Howard Hunt during the Night of the Long Knives?
