If he went, he'd be accused of attention -whoring.

Meanwhile, Gawker might as well start emptying its coffers of unconfirmed rumors bc they're well on their way to being bankrupt. Obama owes nothing to Reagan or Scalia in the second half of his presidency. Not even a thank you for your service.

That doesn't matter. Obama is being divisive again.

Fox News has way too much influence in this country.

Hillary's an attention-grabbing shrew and Obama is an uppity ingrate. Seems simple enough.

Clinton attended Jackie's funeral in 1994. So that makes two in 60 years.

Reagan didn't attend Bess Truman's. W didn't attend Lady Bird's. Carter didn't attend Mamie Eisenhower's. Nobody noticed or cared. This one for some reason has a different sort of tint to it.

I guess that I'm rather surprised that presidents (current or former) have not attended most First Lady funerals. I always assumed that was a package deal with the office -- if a POTUS or FLOTUS dies, you go -- whether you're in office or not.

That being said, I think Obama should go to Mrs. Reagan's funeral. He will have plenty of opportunities to go to SXSW in the future.
