    Put me down in the Nobis was definitely a Hall of Famer camp. He carried a terrible team, but never gained national attention because the Falcons were so bad. He was a guy the writers and coaches knew, but no one else really cared about.

    Did I see him play live? No. Did I read to many Furman Bisher articles about him? Yes. Did an astronaut call down from space to get him to sign with the oilers? Yes. Did it work? No.

    If the Falcons had a WR or TE worth crap, how effective would William Andrews and Steve Bartkowski have been?

    Nobis and Curtis - both tremendous, badass human linebackers - are a little diminished in NFL history, probably unfairly, because their careers overlapped with mythological figures like Huff and Butkus and Nitschke.
