...Jenni is a bilingual superstar on Telemundo, and is (was) expected to be a mainstream American star soon.

I just saw this. Six other people on the plane, too.

CNN story said she was named one of People en Espanol's 25 most powerful women.

    Mom of five kids, too.

    Very sad.

That's the problem with planes -- they crash. / Bob Costas

She had just signed on to be the star of a sitcom ABC had huge hopes for.

Never heard of her. My thoughts with the families that lost loved ones.

"Super"star in Spanish-language music, expected to be on the VERGE of hitting it big, even if she was still mostly unknown..

And now that she is dead, everyone has heard of her.

    Selena II.

Unfortunately, dying tragically was her best career move. Now, like Selena, she'll become a legend.

Stateside, her music is very much a niche market. Maybe the sitcom would have hit. Who knows?

But now, her name is out there. Now she's the tragic figure who totally would have made it, if only she survived.

Cast Sofia Vergara in the biopic (about the right age), have Howard Stern make fun and then apologize, and watch the money roll in.
