RIP Manute Bol

Oh Heavens. This will inevitably be the start of a hilarious group text that involves me and several of my friends that can basically go through Coming to America verbatim.
All that needs to be said to start the hilarity will be this simple text. "You must be out your got-damn mind."

 

Lena Dunham tweeted that he is one of the 3 percent of NBA players whose age is misreported each year.

 

His son, redundantly named Bol Bol, just signed with Oregon. He is at his third high school in four years. Two years in Kansas, one year in Santa Ana, this year at a prep school in Las Vegas. He is a senior. Wonder how old he is.

This is pretty fantastic.

Also, Kevin Mackey might be completely full of shit, but a broken clock is right twice a day. Bol certainly looked older than his listed age during his NBA days. And given his out-of-nowhere path to America, and the lack of paperwork that existed in the '80s, it's absolutely believable he was at least 30 years old in college.

 

Was it Manute or Yinka Dare who supposedly killed a lion with a spear?
