RIP, lethal injections

As I've said before, I'll trade abolishing the death penalty for guilty murderers (in favor of life without parole) if liberals will give up aborting innocent babies.

 

Apples and oranges.

If your rationale is truly pro-life, then I don't understand how you can be anti-abortion but pro-death penalty.

 

You can be "pro life" and still think that other factors - deterrence and punishment, primarily - justify ending someone's life.

I am pro free speech.

But I am in favor of laws banning child pornography. And false advertising. Etc., etc.

 

These are two debates in which both sides need to do better than charging the other side with hypocrisy. It does nothing for their own positions. And, what's more, it simply isn't true.

 

I also like that it has been determined that only liberals have ever aborted babies.

Yep. I wonder sometimes if I'm the only one in the world who's pro-life and anti-death penalty.

 

Agreed. Pro-life means you are for life.

 

So why is the liberal side by and large pro-choice and anti-death penalty? You really have to stretch the bounds of credulity to favor killing innocent babies and allowing guilty killers to live. But logic escapes that side.
And it ain't apples and oranges. A life is a life.
I'm all for preserving life in both cases. Libs won't give up abortion
