    Enrico Palozzo weeps!

Sad news, but as expressed earlier, as long as Airplane! and the Naked Gun movies and TV shows are on cable TV and DVD, he will always live on.

I always thought the line was, " ... and stop calling me Shirley." Those who watch in tribute, please advise.

R.I.P. to the second-most entertaining Leslie I've known (first goes to Miles).

    Or, at least, his corpse.

Complications from pneumonia? That's no way for a man to die.
A parachute not opening -- that's the way to die. Getting caught in a combine ... having your nuts bit off by a Laplander. That's the way Leslie Nielsen wanted to go!

The line after "Surely you can't be serious" was "And don't call me Shirley."

    Later came this exchange:

Rumack: I won't deceive you, Mr. Striker. We're running out of time.
Ted Striker: Surely there must be something you can do.
Rumack: I'm doing everything I can... and stop calling me Shirley!

Nothing to be ashamed of. He sometimes goes by his maiden name.

Complete devastation... but only to the point where she asks Katherine Hepburn what kind of tree she'd like to be.

Granted he didn't say that line in Police Squad, but it's still one of the most devastatingly funny series of all time and the forerunner to Naked Gun. RIP, Leslie. You made us laugh til we peed our pants.

Not a great night for the city of Regina, Saskatchewan, with the death of native son Leslie Nielsen and another Grey Cup loss for the Roughriders.

Actually, these things happening make it a bad night for Canada in general. RIP, Lt. Drebin. :'(
