I hope Lenny the Cool eases into the next stage.

Fascinating in that he was at practice until 5 pm for years and then anchoring the sports at KMBC at 6.

Dawson and Buoniconti on “Inside the NFL” were the good ol’ days.

[IMG]Heater and a Fresca after the game. That's how the old boys rolled.

I remember reading that was halftime.
Kinda makes sense, none of the three in the picture are in any state of undress

A great gentleman, exuded class and kindness.
And the right stuff for TV, although he earned his chops on radio.

What I love most is that the picture works regardless of context. Halftime or post-game? Up by 20? Down by 20? Close? Victory? Defeat?

Just a cool customer having a moment during which nothing in the world mattered other than what he was enjoying.

I believe (could be wrong) that picture is from halftime of Super Bowl I.

I love his SBI halftime picture with the puff and the Fresca but it saddens me that I’m seeing that all over Twitter today. He was so much more than that picture, cool as it was.
