Heard a story about this earlier on NPR. Disney and those guys really turned animation into a legitimate movie-making genre.

I'd like to think Toy Story I and II, Ratatouille, Finding Nemo and all the others nowadays would have come about anyway, but those guys got the ball rolling in the greatest possible way.

  3. Don't forget Shrek and Cars, two animated feature-length movies that are tremendous commentaries on society. I've often said that if I were to teach a history/social studies course on modern America, I'd be sure to assign Cars. Maybe I'd even have some people from Peach Springs do a video or written commentary.

Is he the one responsible for the dust cloud that said "Sex" when Simba plopped down?

If so, he was one of the Dirty Old Men. :)
