    I didn't know this fellow, but I was asked to post this Nola story by someone who thought this might be of interest to some of you:

    Larry died on Sunday in Memphis. The story touches on his work with the Saints cocaine scandal in 1980 and the Tulane basketball point-shaving scandal in 1985.

    Larry graduated from Ole Miss and spent 25 years at the Times-Picayune, 1968-1993.
