Former Niners, Saints, Redskins linebacker -- and a homeboy here -- dies at 36. Died in his sleep Sunday; cause of death hasn't been officially announced.

Good guy, played his way out of some mean streets. RIP.

Oh. I thought this was going to be the Kevin Mitchell who played for the Mets, Giants and Reds, among others.

Not being a smart aleck. Just thrown for a loop.

    Dead at 36. Damn.

I had the same initial reaction, Montezuma.

    And yeah. Damn. 36.

    RIP.

Me too. Perhaps putting (NFL) after his name would help.

    RIP

Does anyone here know what the life expectancy of an NFL player is?

I know it used to be in the 50s back about 15 years ago.

That is the one sport that I will argue that they do not get paid enough.

Yeah, I thought it was the 1989 NL MVP as well.

I would have been less surprised if it were the baseball player.

  10. Great question. Sounds like a good enterprise topic to me.

Of course you weren't being a smart aleck... it was an intentionally deceitful thread title.

It was 53 or 54 back in 1992 or 1993. I'm guessing it is still in that ballpark.
