    Never became as popular as I thought he would but I always enjoyed his music. My sister-in-law introduced me to him (well, his work) many years ago.

    He did a version of Stephen Bishop's "On And On" that started to get airplay before Bishop's record.
    Rankin's was great.
    Bishop's was cloying garbage. Amazing that two people could do the same song in such proximity to one another and the crappy one would become the hit. Indeed, Bishop wrote the song, but ...
