More than watched Iron Man 2?

    Undoubtedly.

Slattery joined WABC in 1979, and joined WCBS five years years later.

In 35 years of daily reporting, in the biggest market in the country, I'd bet more people watched him than caught the tour de force performance in Iron Man 2.

There is no way that the vast, vast majority people on this board thought of your John Slattery when they saw the subject line. None. I'd like to hear from one person who did.

Apparently, in YF's world, only folk with ties to the New York area matter. To be fair, he has plenty of company in that regard.

So you know there's confusion. How hard is it to change the headline to 'RIP WCBS Reporter John Slattery'?

For the record, I had never heard of either one of them before this thread.

I actually did think he was talking about the local reporter.

I've only seen a handful of episodes of Mad Men, but Slattery is all kinds of awesome in it.

If you're sticking with this, you're going to have to forever drop the old line about which conservative talking heads are and aren't recognized here.

It's a good thing IJAG isn't around for this, or we'd soon have an RIP YankeeFan thread.
