    Also, Prine's "Sessions at West 54th" TV performance, staged in 2001, is a bit livelier than the Austin City Limits session, partly because Prine (and his vocal cords) are 17 years younger and partly because Iris Dement joins him on a few songs.

    It may not be the last song that Prine recorded, but this is the last song on the last album he released. He knew that the end was near.

    If that's not a reason to listen, try this - he rhymes "my critics" with "those syphilitic parasitics".
