What in the name of Jesus? Heaven's building a complete Hall of Fame roster just from 2020 alone.

    Oh boo.

What a fantastic player he was.

I may be the only person with ears who actually enjoyed him doing color commentary on games.

    RIP

I've seen that tweet and several stories but nothing yet that says how we know this? Do we not have to report confirmation anymore?

I covered that Phillies team he was on with Pete Rose and Tony Perez
I asked him what he learned from playing with the Astros, where he began his career
“I learned how much I hate losing and how I never wanted to go through that again.”
He was not the player in Houston he became in Cincinnati
At the time, the big name in the deal was Lee May

This, my friends, is a sad day for me. Mr. Morgan is the one member of the Big Red Machine I felt most connected to, due to Sunday Night Baseball.

    Rest easy, Mr. Morgan.

Irv Brown was a long time sports talk host in Denver who had been, among many other things, the head baseball coach at Colorado. On his show, he would talk about how he had never seen anyone eliminate the pop fly from his bat and and replace it with the line drive like Morgan.

Mr. Morgan was no fan of “Moneyball,” but his baritone was long the soundtrack to Sunday nights in the summer.
