    Started Game 7 in 1979.

    Damn.

    I'm getting soo fucking old.

    It looks like he was in the Mets organization...possibly lost in the shuffle of Seaver, Ryan, Koosman, Gentry, McCraw, Matlack that was coming through there? Maybe, sadly, race as well.

    Race played a part but Bibby was known more for being a thrower than a pitcher in the eyes of many. Once he got a chance to shine, he did so very brightly. I do know his brother Henry was very proud of him. If you talked baseball with Henry, he would go on for minutes about his brother.

    I heard We are Family on Sirius this morning. It was great to be a 10-year-old Yinzer in 1979.
