A huge star of 50 and 60 years ago, nominated for five Oscars and winner of the best actress prize in 1943 for "The Song of Bernadette."

    She was 90 years old.

A star from the 40's and 50's? Kind of an upset that Dubs breaks this news instead of spnited, no?

You would have too. She was gorgeous back in the day.

She lived in the Towering Inferno building, next door to Bobby Brady's family. Fred Astaire tried to sell her some worthless stock. O.J. Simpson saved her cat.

One night when I was a kid, my parents watched "Duel in the Sun," with Jones and Gregory Peck and I watched with them. I remember Jones being as smoldering as an actress could possibly be for a movie made in the 1940s.
