Don't get me wrong. I'll watch Road House any time of the day or night. I'm just saying that it's at a level of horrid that ... somehow makes it great.

    It was at least passable.

    The sequel, however, was unwatchable.

And I liked the more-uptempo stuff he played in Roadhouse much more than "Angel Eyes."

TNT should show Road House 24 hours on Healy's birthday, like they do with A Christmas Story.

Fenian, it was Daulton who took Edith's spot for incoming humanities students at NYU.

Poor Edith had to do Leipzig instead.

He was only 41? That must've made him a young'n when "Angel Eyes" came out. RIP.

My favorite line in Road House is when Dalton and the goon are fighting to the death in the pond.
They're both just kicking the ever-living shit out of each other and then Dalton says, "You are such an ASSHOLE."
Just cracks me up for some reason.

There was a sequel? My God, how did I miss that? Was Swayze (sp.?) in it? Was it straight to DVD?

    Dang ... I can't believe he's only 41.

I could've sworn I was a young preteen Stuart-clone wannabe metalhead who watched MTV day and night when "Angel Eyes" came out ... he's only 8 years older than me.

Damned fine song, too ... one of the best, and longest-lasting ballads of an era when a lot of really, really bad ones were put forth by the hair metal bands. Heck of a musician ... at least, what I heard of him. RIP.

I loved his version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

    A great, great guitar player.

Angel Eyes is one of the great ballads of the 90's.

    RIP.
