Don't know how many of you listened to the Boston Globe's Aaron Hernandez podcast. (It's excellent, highly recommended.)

It just dropped an updated episode about painkillers, etc. At the beginning, there is a player quoted as saying a doctor warned them as saying football will cause them crippling injuries -- and adds the door is right there.

No one went to the door.

We all know the damages now. Not just from football, but hockey, soccer, drinking, drug use (marijuana, t00) and I saw a story this week worried lack of sleep can cause CTE, too.

No longer can anyone say they don't understand the risks.

Does this absolve team doctors of overprescribing painkillers?
