    Really struggled with addiction.

    That said, find him in "Tribes," a Vietnam-era time capsule co-starring Darren McGavin.

    Very few leading men were ever as good looking as this guy when he was young.

    That "Mechanic," the original, is an early 70s classic.

    I vaguely remember a “behind the scenes” type documentary on him in the late 1990s. It focused heavily on his alcoholism and how it totally killed his career. They would cut to airwolf scenes and pointing out how he was supposed to have a line but was to drunk to remember.

    Hope he gets to drive the Landmaster to the Airwolf helipad to get to the afterlife.
