    Very funny -- and attractive -- member of SNL for years, dead of a "serious illness" at 57.

    A lot of great scenes, including when she played Sinead O'Connor, but this is probably my favorite, with Alec Baldwin.

    Yes, always thought she was appealing.
    She had a very brief part in Batman Returns.

    Brenda the waitress was actually one of the best acting jobs I ever saw on SNL. She, Dunn, Baldwin and Hartman were all fantastic in that.

    She was awesome on Tush, especially as Tammy Jean the evangelist lady (not to mention the ravishing Darla in the Captain Space sketches).

    The Sweeney Sisters killed me, every time.

    I'm surprised she didn't have a bigger career post-SNL. She was terrific.

    For me, she's at the top of the list of all SNL actresses. Only Gilda was her equal. RIP to an incredible performer.

    Jan Hooks was hilarious on her SNL run.

    On a much cruder note, Jan Hooks was Page 1A on the list of "hot women a 13-year-old boy might find on a TV screen at night if said boy didn't have Cinemax and the Internet was still years away".

    But only if Kari Wuhrer wasn't hosting Remote Control.
