    and as anyone who's spent time in the UP can tell you, he also played Lt. Manion in "Anatomy of a Murder"

    He was great as Vincent Gallo's dad in Buffalo 66.

    Sad that he'll be remembered for drek like 'Roadhouse' instead of 'Hatful of Rain,' or the breakthrough work he did with Cassavetes. Fine actor.

    You watch him in "Capone" and you see an actor performing with one eye on what he surely thought would be an Oscar nomination.

    And how come I never see reruns anywhere of "Run For Your Life"?

    Odd that both he and Swayze died of pancreatic cancer.

    True, but it's also sad that the NY Times obit doesn't mention Roadhouse or The Big Lebowski or Capone, for that matter. No surprise that their obits are just a wee precious and pretentious.
