    Oh man, I loved Gerry and the Pacemakers. "Don't let the sun catch you crying" is a wonderful song and plays a part in one of the most memorable moments of my life (no, not that).

    Hope he catches the ferry 'cross the Mersey forever.

    DJs I knew who lived through the British Invasion years thought Gerry and the Pacemakers would be bigger than the Beatles, because Gerry was an amazing singer and that first album was solid. Nobody really knew how exceptional Lennon and McCartney were at songwriting based on "She Loves You, yea yea yea."
