Anything with Peter North is a solid flick. My God, the man is a machine. Not to mention Canadian.

She did not blame it on Damiano, however. She said her then-husband physically abused her and made her do it.

The book doesn't get into this much, as it concentrates on the Mitchell brothers, but I highly recommend X-Rated by Seattle Post-Intelligencer managing editor David McCumber. It's just some terrific reporting and writing about the porn industry, IMO the best of McCumber's books. He also wrote some very good non-fiction books about pool hustling and cattle ranching.

 

In Damiano's oeuvre, one can see Eisensteinian influences, and the use of a flowing, Minnellian camera. The Hitchcockian melding of leitmotif and dramatic irony is palpable, and the sense of innocent discovery doubtlessly helped shape Spielberg.

 

Here, I thought he was just filming a chick gobbling cock.
