RIP Gaylord Perry

As tremendous as that was, my no. 1 takeaway is that the Nixon Twitter guy is barely 40?! That's remarkable. I figured he/she was well north of 50, Awfully impressive to nail the persona so well when he was barely a teenager upon Nixon's death.

 

It is uncanny - he has Nixon's manner of speech absolutely nailed. And oh, does this incarnation of Nixon hate Marco Rubio.

 

I was a huge Perry fan when he wore the SF cap and utterly bummed when he got traded for Sam McDowell and Frank Duffy!! It was Juan and Perry, why did you do that?!?! Then Perry goes on to win the Cy Young for Cle and SD. He had a rubber arm and threw strikes. Loved him. May he RIP. Thanks for the memories Gaylord.
