RIP former SNLer Tom Davis

    One half of the Franken and Davis show on early SNL.

    Of course, we know where the Franken half is now.

    Thought this was about former Stanford/Iowa/Drake coach Dr. Tom Davis.

    But RIP to SNL's Tom Davis, who also made a funny cameo in Trading Places if memory serves.

    In Trading Places, he and Franken (without glasses for this role) were the two train workers assigned to babysit that gorilla. Another casting note: The supervisor guy who gives them the instructions was Stephen Stucker, known for his legendary turn as Johnny Jacobs in "Airplane." I belive TP was his final movie appearance.
