Can I be the first to offer the maudlin RIP that accompanies news of the death of people none of us know?

    RIP Farrah

methinks it's time for the title of this thread to be updated, smasher or mods.

    rip, farrah.

you were my third-favorite original "angel" but no doubt became a cultural icon. so sorry to know that your final years were so painful. no one should have to endure that. no one's loved ones should have to endure that. you're in a far better place now.

The documentary was heart-wrenching to watch, and a great reminder that life is way too short. So sad that she and Ryan were never able to wed. There's a special episode of 20/20 tonight at 10 PM about her life, per ABC.

She's an icon for this and her one season on "Charlie's Angels".

But what I'll actually remember most for are her portrayals in "The Burning Bed" and "Extremities."

For anyone who previously thought she couldn't act, check these movies out. Wow. Just wow. The depths and gritty realities of those performances were just unbelievable. No, make that very believable, and chilling.

You'll forget you're looking at somebody who's previous biggest claim to fame was being on "Charlie's Angels."
