RIP Eric Lowen

    This won't mean much to most of you, but Eric was half of the duo Lowen & Navarro, who had a nice run of 20-plus years. They started as a song-writing team and eventually performed and recorded.

    He was diagnosed with ALS back in 2003 and performed right up to the point he was physically unable around 2009 or 2010.

    Their biggest success as songwriters was Pat Benatar's hit "We Belong."

    They made it medium, never big, but they had a very loyal and strong following.

    Their club shows were intimate affairs with their encores consisting of them grabbing their acoustic guitars and coming into the middle of the crowd. Some of the best things I've ever experienced. This video is an example:
