    The Guess Who before Eddie.
    Just listen to “Undun”.

The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive, are each, separately, about Harold Baines-level candidates for the RNRHOF.

I saw Eddie twice, neither by choice.

First time, he opened for The Who
at the Silverdome in 1982 on a hot and steamier than hell night. He was ok, although he didn't play "Baby Hold On" or "Two Tickets," which at the time were his only hits.

(The crowd was great for Eddie, but then promptly booed The Clash, which I really wanted to see, off the stage, before The Who finally came on.)

A few years later, he came to play the county fair where I was ME of the 6-day daily. I did a 15-minute phone interview for the advance story a week before the fair opened.

He was kinda funny and humorous, but seemed half out of it -- which could have been the result of about eight factors, including being high/drunk/stoned from the night before, or also not being totally focused on his interview with the famous Starman of the Bumfuck Daily Bugle.

For some reason the PR guy scheduled the interview for like 9 in the morning and I got the impression that Eddie, like me, probably wanted to go back to sleep for about three hours.

    The show was ok.

JC Mellancamp and Huey Lewis get in before Eddie and they aren’t getting in

    2008.

Huey Lewis is more like Brady Anderson than Harold Baines -- superstar level for a short while, above average for a few years, then kept on grinding at roughly league average level for another decade or so.

Actually Eddie Money and Huey's careers are fairly comparable too.

Before New Order / Joy Division?
    Chic?
    Sonic Youth?
    Tina Turner?
    Link Wray?
    Mariah Carey?
    The Replacements?

Some of you guys need to put down the pipe.

The Pixies aren't even in. The RRHOF is nothing more than Jann Wenner's masturbatory endeavor.

    Nobody said "before" ... I don't think.

I'd be fine with everyone on that list getting in except Mariah Carey, who
has nothing at all to do with "rock" or anything like it.
