Matt Lauer just announced it on the Today Show. No link yet but they are doing a tribute.

Jerry Lewis outlives Ed McMahon. Considering how bad off Jerry was a couple of years ago, I'm a bit surprised.

    RIP.

The NY Lottery has a commercial with famous announcers sitting in a diner.
One was the movie trailer guy, dead.
    Another was Ed McMahon, dead.
The third was the Jeopardy announcer.
If I was him, I'd be looking over my shoulder.

RIP Ed, I bet there's a helluva Tonight Show on in Heaven right now.
    Hiiii ooooooo!

One of the most famous laughs in the history of television.

Dude had one of the sweetest gigs you could have while he was here.

    RIP

American Idol would not exist without Star Search.

Colonial Penn Life Insurance, American Family Publishers sweepstakes, Johnny Carson's sidekick, Star Search. The man had a list of accomplishments as long as his arm. He was one of those people I thought somehow would live forever. Guess not.

    RIP.

First Bea Arthur now this. Cruel, cruel world.

  11. Carson and McMahon had a banter that was and is unmatched on late night TV. I remember one time Ed stepping on one of Johnny's lines, accidentally on purpose, and Carson looking at him and saying, "Star Search going that good for you?"

    RIP, Ed.
