    RIP indeed.

His eulogy will be given by his brother, Nappy-Haired.

    It should be interesting.

EDIT: Yes, I know that I am going to hell. . . .and you are all coming with me.

The fact that Don Ho dies the same week another Don's career died for saying Ho just proves that there is a God and he has one helluva sense of humor.

    In tribute, all together now:

(Words & music by Leon Pober)

    Tiny bubbles (tiny bubbles)
In the wine (in the wine)
Make me happy (make me happy)
Make me feel fine (make me feel fine)

    Tiny bubbles (tiny bubbles)
    Make me warm all over
With a feeling that I'm gonna
Love you till the end of time

So here's to the golden moon
And here's to the silver sea
    And mostly here's a toast
    To you and me

So here's to the ginger lei
    I give to you today
    And here's a kiss
    That will not fade away

I actually met Don Ho backstage after a show once.

He was to Honolulu what Dean Martin was to Las Vegas.

Just saw him on a Sanford & Son re-run when Fred and LaMont went to the Big Island for some cranky hijinks.

    Good stuff.

It really makes you think ... the death of Don Ho means about 20 times more to Hawaii today than the entire "ho" debate meant to it.

    Adds a little perspective.

A coon's age ago, when I was 15, I went to one of his shows with my grandmother and great-grandmother. I remember little except his kissed all the older women after the show. My great-grandmother, who was probably at least 75, loved it.
