Singer Don Ho dies at 76

    Associated Press
HONOLULU --Legendary crooner Don Ho, known for his raspberry-tinted sunglasses and catchy signature tune "Tiny Bubbles," has died, his publicist said Saturday. He was 76.

Publicist Donna Jung confirmed the singer's death, but had no details. He had suffered with heart problems for the past several years.

Ho had a pacemaker installed last fall and also underwent an experimental stem cell procedure on his ailing heart in Thailand in 2005.

I remember my grandmother singing Tiny Bubbles to me when I was a kid.

    Good memories.

    Thank you Don.

I used to watch his show on ABC, if I remember correctly, it was an 11 a.m. start.
Biggest death in Hawaii since Duke Kahanamoku's.
I didn't get to see him the 2 times I went to Hawaii, but he cast a large shadow on Oahu.
    Maholo Don and Aloha.

BTW, when I opened up this thread, I was eating a Mauna Loa chocolate covered macadamia nut.
    Weird.

There's got to be an Imus joke in this somewhere. You know, with Don's last name and all...

Someone I know suggested "Nappy Deaded Ho" as a headline, but that's probably not going to make the cut.

You know. This is a Don Ho thread. I should not have done that.

Right up there with the New York Post running a "DON HO" headline this week (as previously mentioned).

(Sorry, I don't know how to post images)

My parents still have this Don Ho cocktail glass they bought when they went on their honeymoon in Hawaii 383 years ago.

    RIP.
