Don Cornelius and Dick Clark both die in the same year. Who'da thunk it?

Don Cornelius and Dick Clark die within close proximity of one another? Still-alive hosts of Solid Gold ... watch your asses!

RIP to an undeniable TV legend.

Happened to wander past the newsroom TV and CNN was talking to Larry King about Dick Clark ... speaking of ageless.

Once the Beatles hit, Bandstand was fairly irrelevant as a trendsetter until it embraced New Wave when few others would. And nobody thinks the American Music Awards have as much cred as the Grammies. But the Pyramid game shows were among the best. R.I.P. to a stone-cold money machine who had the basic goodness to connect with people

Apropos of nothing, I read an article on Dick Clark when I was young and he was the first person I had heard use the acronym "CYA". For a little while, I thought he had coined it.

If celebrity deaths come in threes, who's third? Death pool candidates?

Clearly time to join Ed McMahon for a taping of "Heaven's Bloopers and Practical Jokes."
