Farina always seemed like a genuinely good guy. Everybody's friend.

I don't feel as bad that that's the first thing I thought of. Out of Sight is my favorite Clooney movie, and Farina was so great in it.

As a matter of fact, my good friend Dan Lauria told me that Dennis Farina was one of the more helpful and nicest Hollywood personalities he met as he worked in the business.

Yes, but did Dan Lauria ever send drinks to your table? Hmmmm?

    Man, I hated hearing this.

Get Shorty and Snatch are two of my favorite movies and Farina was a big reason why.

"Do you have anything to declare?" "Yeah, don't go to England!"

I think at this point we have to mention the '80s TV show "Crime Story," the first thing I saw him in.

    RIP

If you really want to know, Riptide, Dan Lauria never sent drinks to my table but there were a couple of times when he was AT my table. Hope that doesn't offend anyone.

His Law & Order character was a razor's-edge-from-corrupt cop, and Farina sold that dark side very well. His main final gig was being on my TV about every 30 minutes in Xfinity commercials
