RIP David Broder

    RIP Mr. Broder.

    David stayed in touch with my dad in his retirement and came to the funeral in November '09.

    Always a pleasant guy and had a great way of summarizing national political trends into just a few paragraphs.

    The Post obit was a good read. Didn't know he entered the University of Chicago at 15. That was pretty rare in those days.

    I quoted it in my book on the Post and said it "ought to be on every newspaper's front page, up there in the ear where every wingnut can read it."
