If you like to roll down the car windows, tap your fingers on the steering wheel and sing as loud as you like as you cruise down the interstate, "Suffragette City" has always worked.

    RIP.

I got back in to Bowie a few years ago when "The Life Aquatic" came out. The entire soundtrack is a Brazilian artist named Seu Jorge doing Bowie tunes in Portuguese on an acoustic guitar. Check it out if you get a chance.

China Girl video was pretty edgy, once he starts slanting his eyes.

Ditto ... maybe some celebrity secrets can be kept afterall, in this Internet age. Bowie had been around for 10 or so years before I finally got turned on during college. What a great talent and I liked most all the old stuff, his video with Mick for Dancing in the Street and the later album Tonight had a very cool sound ...RIP Bowie.

He played Tesla in The Prestige, which was a good movie.

My 6-year-old goddaughter drew this of Bowie while at his exhibit in Amsterdam ... 3 years ago.

Ranks behind only Frankie Goes to Hollywood's "Relax" and every Wham! video as the gayest moment in MTV history.

Bing might take issue with that.

I've loathed some MTV videos over the years, but this is up there.

Billy Squier's "Rock Me Tonite" says hello.

What I respect about Bowie was that he was always pushing to innovate music even after he made his initial millions. He would try new approaches instead of trying to recreate Space Oddity for the next six albums.

Also enjoyed the hell out of this song and video. That G.E. Smith got around.
