    For some reason I always confused Mr. Madden with the two fellows that played Darren on "Bewitched." RIP.

    I'm a bit intrigued as to why The Partridge Family had a deceased father and a Reuben Kincaid, considering that Bud Cowsill was alive and kicking.

    I have to wonder if this was the producers' way of sending a "fuck-you" to Bud Cowsill for being such a difficult bastard to deal with.

    Interesting possibility. I read that, in the pilot episode, Shirley Partridge was still widowed but had a boyfriend, who was played by Shirley Jones' real-life husband at the time, Jack Cassidy.

    That would have been interesting considering how much David Cassidy looked like his dad.

    He's almost a dead ringer now for his father. Next thing you know, he'll be the regular guest murderer on a remake of "Columbo."
