    It's too bad he got fired one season before the Phillies finally broke their long jinx in 1980. If anyone deserved to get a ring because of that franchise, it's him.

    The general consenseus back then ws that Danny couln't win the big games when i ounted.
    Conlin's take was pretty much on the money.
