I can't find it, but I could have sworn they actually showed The Gooch in one episode.

    Anyone?

Pretty sure he was never shown on camera.

That's what I keep finding, but I thought they showed him at least once -- blonde-haired boy -- and perhaps he finally got his comeuppance in the form of a black eye.

Unless that was the boy who teased Cindy Brady and got his ass kicked.

A travesty that she never had a "straight to Skinemax" phase of her career. :D

I'm also pretty sure the Gooch was a girl.

He was much closer to Tom Willis territory when he was on Maude. RIP.

Speaking of guys from that era, Mr. Bentley was not British in real life although he played a Brit.

He was from New Mexico (son of a journalist and doctor).

Diff'rent Strokes and Facts of Life are such a good memory -- Friday nights, school done for the week, popcorn, etc. I think they moved Facts of Life after a bit.

Those kids' sitcoms don't much exist anymore.

It's really true... I can't think of anything on the networks that I would want my kids to watch...

There's a show on Disney Channel called Jesse that is sort of a combination of Diff'rent Strokes, Webster, Silver Spoons and Mr. Belvedere. My kids love it.
