David Freeman died at age 47. Between he and a co-writer, the two had experienced everything in the book. Freeman, however, had only done about half of the things that he listed in the book.

Dave was a friend of mine.

He was far and away one of the brightest, fascinating, most engaging and funniest people you'd ever want to meet.

His death just sent shock waves coarsing through myself and my friends. The guy was so, so, so, so, so full of life. I miss the SOB immensely.
