RIP CNN's Bobbie Battista

    Had no idea she hadn't been at CNN since the AOL merger because she seemed to always be on Atlanta TV somewhere. The prototype for Headline News anchor. Only 67. Cancer sucks.

    Bobbie and Bernard Shaw are the originals I remember when we got cable in 1987.

    I didn't realize it had been that long, either. I remember her more from regular CNN. A real professional, no-nonsense broadcaster.

    Thought she also did very well hosting the live audience-participation show. RIP

    This: I was watching her years ago and they go to commercial break. But the camera was still on her. She glances at the camera, and slips some kind of silver ball into her mouth. Then they cut to commercial. This happened.
