For those of you who ever worked in the Louisville market, you probably had the pleasure of meeting and/or working with Chuck Olmstead. He was the dean of Louisville's broadcast journalists and as good a reporter as there ever was on Louisville TV.

Sadly, Chuck died earlier today after a two week fight from brain aneurysm.

Several people tried to imitate Chuck's style, though no one ever came close to the real thing. After 34 years at WHAS, he will surely be missed.

    Rest in peace.

I am not familiar with Chuck, but his resume must be something after 34 years at WHAS.
    Condolences to the family.

    A true class act.

WHAS's website has a nice tribute to the man and his career.
