The Carrington Family (Dynasty) loses their patriarch today. A life well lived, Blake Carrington.

Bachelor Father, Dynasty, and Charlie Angels were fun shows to watch.

Recall him playing the corrupt judge in "and Justice for All." Tremendous flick.

    Bye Charlie.
I hope Bill Murry's had a physical lately.

Wasn't Forsythe the second choice for Charlie? I seem to recall reading they originally wanted someone like Walter Matthau or Chuck Heston for the role.

I think it was George Peppard who was the first choice. Let me check on that.

EDIT: Yes. In fact, Peppard had already been hired and had started working when the producers realized he just wasn't right for the part.

In fairness to the producers, it was a move they had to make. Peppard kept showing up to the set dressed like this:

Intro for Forsythe's new show: "But I took him away from all that, and now he works for me. My name.... is God."
