Wooley Swamp is one of the dumbest songs out there, but I do turn it up every time I hear it on the radio.

Saw Grinderswitch, Charlie Daniels Band and the Marshall Tucker Band years and years ago. During Daniels' set, someone threw a firecracker onstage. Daniels went off and ripped the guy a new one, threatened to go out into the pit and kick his ass. Got a great cheer, the tosser got tossed.

Great, great show. All three bands came out for a version of Will The Circle Be Unbroken to close it and it was incredible.

Funny, I was listening to the Big 40 countdown on XM's 80s channel last week, when it was from that week in 1980. One of the songs was his "In America," which was interesting juxtaposing that song and what's going on in this country today. These lines:

And we may have done a little bit
    Of fightin' amongst ourselves
But you outside people best leave us
    alone
    'Cause we'll all stick together
And you can take that to the bank
That's the cowboys and the hippies
And the rebels and and the yanks

I don't think those groups will stick together today.

Somebody on local radio called Charlie Daniels a "violinist."

So in my line of work I have to on occasion talk about CBD Oil and about half the time I call it CDB Oil, then correct myself, then point out "I'm a Nashville kid, we knew CDB decades before we knew CBD."
