Damn. I guess God needed a world leader, a mouseketeer, a mid-level boxer and a NBA scout.

I love the quote at the end about how he would like to be remembered

"Just that I was honest and fair, that I was not a dirty fighter. And one day in my life, the baddest heavyweight in all the land, Larry Holmes, became the SECOND baddest heavyweight in all the land."

    RIP

Oh my God. Carl was a very good friend of mine for years. We lost touch about 10 years ago. I'm sitting in the airport crying right now. RIP to a good friend and a good person. I am so sad.

We need bunk beds in that three-bedroom apartment in the sky.
