We're up to three catch phrases now from Get Smart. I loved that show. I did not realize Henry was the co-creator. He was a part of so many different things that I enjoyed.

The show was all I could think about a while back when I interviewed Dick Gautier, who played Hymie the humanoid robot. I was looking for confirmation of a rumor I read online that Gautier had once played Batman in a public service announcement. Turns out it was true. The cast of the live-action show with Adam West was scheduled to shoot the PSA, but they were in the middle of a contract dispute. If I remember the story correctly, the others chose to shoot the PSA, but West wouldn't do it, so Gautier filled in. He was floored that I even heard he was in the PSA and told me the whole story. Gautier died in 2017. (Apologies for the threadjack. I just like that story).

It’s a bit sad that his geodesic domes never really caught on.

He was also a regular guest on Late Night with David Letterman in the early days of the show.

Before Kawhi Leonard, there was another Craw, er, Claw.

Do you know what men call me, Mr. Smart?
    Lefty?
That stupid joke still reduces me to helpless laughter just thinking of it. But it strikes me more as a Brooks-type gag than a Henry one.

The kind of year where they'll have to print an extra page or two of the notable deaths in December and you feel like big chunks of your life are gone.

My dad calls them the Irish Funnies (apparently because all Irish people read them daily to make sure they don't miss a good wake or funeral) - most call them the obit pages - but this is on my daily reading list since a lot of news editors are too young to know anyone pre-Bieber.

Sounds like 2016 all over again.

I'll take "Links I Will Not Click On" for 100.00, Alex.

He was brilliant in Catch-22. Of course most everyone in that film was.
